Field Five at county rail farm
County Rail Farm and Field Five Flowers are located in Huson, Montana, just west of Missoula. The two- acre vegetable operation, County Rail Farm, has been running since 2011 by Tracy Potter-Fins, a queer farmer who likes to throw a good dance party, and loves her farm dogs. Field Five Flowers, est. 2020, is run by Bethany Stanbery, a queer artist, metalsmith, and designer. Field Five encompasses not only field five but also many other areas of the farm.
TRACY
Tracy grew up in Moscow, Idaho and went to college in New York state, where she farmed with Hearty Roots and Awesome Farm for three summers after traveling abroad and working on small organic farms in Europe. She has worked as a beekeeper, sheep shearer, and baker.
BETHANY
Bethany grew up in Helena, Montana and has excelled at various careers including as a professional ballerina, aerialist, and work in restaurant design and management. She creates hand-forged fabricated jewelry in the winter months and cultivates botanicals; spring through late fall. This is her second year designing in sustainable floral artistry and is excited to launch a full-scale event design studio-Nectar Tap Studio soon.
